Air Tech Heating & Cooling FAQ

Have an HVAC services related question? We have the answer. Below are the answers to some of the questions our customers frequently ask about our services and about HVAC in general.

  • Which Brands of Heating and Air Conditioning Equipment Do You Service?

Air Tech Heating & Cooling services all major brands of HVAC equipment, including Trane, Carrier, American Standard, Howe, York, Ducane, Mitsubishi, Armstrong, and AmeriStar.

  • What Is Your Service Area?

We serve residential and commercial customers within and around the River Valley Area.  For larger jobs, we will occasionally go further, so contact us if you aren’t sure whether you are in our service area.

  • Do You Accept Credit Cards?

Yes, we accept all major credit cards.

  • Do You Offer Financing?

Yes, we offer financing through Wells Fargo Financing.

  • Do You Have Preventative Maintenance Plans?

Yes, we have preventative maintenance plans for both residential and commercial customers.  The plans include all the maintenance needed to keep your equipment running smoothly, click here for details.

  • Do You Offer 24-Hour Emergency Service?

In order to offer the guaranteed lowest prices in the area, we do not offer 24-hour emergency service.  However, we can usually come out first thing in the morning to make emergency repairs if there is a problem after normal business hours.

  • How Often Should I Change the Filters on My Ducts?

For traditional filters, we recommend changing them every month.  However, if you have a whole-house HEPA filter, that only needs to be changed about once every 6-12 months.

  • What Temperature Should I Set My Thermostat At?

Most people find a temperature setting of 70-75 degrees to be comfortable.  If you want to save on your energy bill, you can lower or raise the normal temperature by 2-4 degrees when you are not at home with a programmable or wifi-enabled thermostat. If you change it by any more than that, the energy required to return to the original temperature will offset any savings.
